Description
Chardham Yatra Uttarakhand, also known as the Char Dham, is a four-part pilgrimage tour of Hindu religious sites in India. The Chardham Yatra Uttarakhand takes you to the four holiest destinations of the Hindus: Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri It is believed that performing this tour purifies one's mind and soul from all earthly bonds and instills a sense of freedom. En route to these destinations, pilgrims also visit many other holy places which include Rishikesh, Haridwar, and many more.
The Chardham Yatra Uttarakhand can be made by foot or horseback, but most pilgrims opt for a tour company to provide transportation and basic accommodation with tents.
The Chardham Yatra starts from the Yamunotri Temple in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and goes to the other three temples which are located at higher altitudes. And finally, it reaches Badrinath Temple which is the youngest among all four Char Dhams. The total distance covered by this yatra is around 2500 kilometers.

Early Morning proceed to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie Enroute visit Kempty Fall if time & Traffic permits Reach Barkot Check in and rest in leisure Dinner Stay at Barkot
Barkot – Yamunotri- Barkot (42 Kms & 5 Kms Trek each side Early morning (4:00 AM)* drive to Jankichatti (42 KMS), start 5 Kms trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri either by walk, doli or by horse at own cost. On arrival at Yamunotri, take bath in hot Jamnabai Kund then go for Temple darshan, After this back down to Jankichatti and then proceed to Barkot. Overnight at hotel.
Barkot – Uttarkashi (95 Kms Approx) Morning (9:00 AM) after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Uttarkashi. In route visit Praketswar Mahadev. On arrival check-in the hotel, Check in to hotel and rest in leisure Dinner Overnight Stay at Uttarkashi
Uttarkashi- Gangotri- Uttarkashi (100 Kms) each side Early morning (5:00 AM) drive to Gangotri At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, It’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for Temple darshan, after temple darshan proceed to Visit Kashi –Vishwanath temple then drive back to Uttarkashi Stay at Uttarkashi
Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (223 Kms, 9 - 10 Hours Approx) Morning (7:00 AM) after breakfast check out from the hotel and then drive to Guptkashi. On arrival at Guptkashi check-in the hotel. Dinner Stay at Hotel
Guptkashi – Sonprayag/Sitapur- Kedarnath (35 Kms & 17 Kms trek) Early morning check-out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag/Sitapur From here, we will start 17 Kms trek to Kedarnath. Either by walk, Doli or by horse at own cost. In the evening visit Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple and take a part in evening Aarti. Stay at Kedarnath ( by your own )
Early Morning After Darshan Kedarnath - Guptkashi (17 Kms Down Trek & 35 Kms 3 hrs by Road) Early morning (4:00 AM) go for temple darshan, and then trek down to Gaurikund. Reach cab parking at Sonprayag/Sitapur then proceed back to hotel. On arrival check-in the Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Morning after breakfast drive to Pipalkoti/Joshimath. On arrival check-in the hotel. Dinner Overnight stay at Joshimath/ Pipalkoti
Morning proceed to Badrinath take bath in Tapt Kund it’s also called Suryakund. Then go for temple darshan,. After a short break go for interesting sightseeing of Mana Village (the last village before the Tibetan border). Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Charan Paduka, Bhim pul and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati river. Evening return to Hotel Dinner & Overnight at hotel
Pipalkoti/Joshimath - Rishikesh(150 kms) Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Enroute visit Devprayag ( Sangam of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi River). Reach Rishikesh. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula,Raghunath temple and Geeta Bhavan. In evening take part in aarti in Triveni Ghat. After aarti darshan drop to Haridwar

Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
