Description
Kedarnath one of the most sacred pilgrimage of Lord Shiva twelve Jyotirlingas, is situated in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is one of the Chardhams and is situated at an altitude of 3586 mts, in the lap of the majestic mountain peaks and near the head of river Mandakini. It is set amidst the stunning mountains cape of the Himalayas and at the head of the Mandakini River. Kedar is another name of lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. The temple is a 17km trek from Gaurikund. The ideal time for the pilgrimage to Kedarnath is from May to October. During the winters, the idols from Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar are brought to Ukhimath and worshipped there for six months.

Enroute visit Har Ki Pauri at Haridwar Ganga Aarti Check-in at Hotel/Camp Dinner Overnight stay at Hotel/Camps
Rishikesh/Haridwar -Rudraprayag/Guptkashi Morning after breakfast drive to Rudraprayag/Guptkashi Enroute visit Devprayag, Rudraprayag Sangam On arrival check-in at Hotel, take some rest Dinner Overnight stay at hotel
Rudraprayag/Guptkashi-Sitapur-Kedarnath(22 kms) Early morning checkout from the hotel and drive to Sitapur From here, we will start 22Kms trek to Kedarnath. Either by walk, Doli or by horse at own cost. In the evening visit Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple and take a part in evening Aarti. Stay at Kedarnath in dormitory/camps/homestay Note : No Private rooms will be provided.
Early morning (4:00 AM) go for temple darshan, after darshan return back to dormitory. Trek down to Gaurikund, enroute visit Hot Spring at Gaurikund Return to Sitapur Parking Later drive to Chopta Check into camp and Dinner Stay at Chopta
Wake up early & witness the beautiful sunrise. Have breakfast and check out. Start your trek of 5 Km to Tungnath. Reach Tungnath & pay your respect at the highest abode of Lord Shiva. Then start your journey to most astonished Chandrashila peak (if weather permits) Night depart to Haridwar Overnight Journey

Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
